As summer arrives, anticipation is building for the UKBT Club Championships on June 8-9th at the stunning Sandbanks Beach. Hosted by Deep Dish Beach Volleyball, this premier event promises an unforgettable weekend of high-level competition and beach volleyball excitement.
Reflecting on last year's championship, the event was a dazzling display of skill and competitive spirit. Also being held at Sanbanks Bach, the tournament saw Deep Dish Crystal Palace clinch the overall title, showcasing their prowess across all divisions. The event was filled with nail-biting matches and impressive athletic performances, setting the stage for another thrilling championship this year.
This year's Club Championships will feature a robust lineup of 120 pairs, each representing one of the 16 participating UK beach volleyball clubs, across various categories:
Men's Championship Pairs: 28 teams
Women's Championship Pairs: 26 teams
Men's Trophy Pairs: 20 teams
Women's Trophy Pairs: 17 teams
Mixed Trophy Pairs: 19 teams
The format of the Club Championships includes two main divisions:
Championship (Division 1): Elite teams competing over the weekend, with results contributing to the club rankings.
Trophy (Division 2): A mix of single-gender and mixed events, where every performance in each match contributes to club rankings.
