As the second and final Grand Slam of the season, the event will see the country’s top players converge on the sand right by the iconic Bournemouth Pier to battle it out for the title of UK Champion. With headline sponsors MSP Capital, the stage is set for a spectacular finale to the 2025 beach volleyball season.

The action begins on Thursday 4 September with MSP Capital’s annual Charity Beach Volleyball Championships, where more than 20 Dorset businesses will take to the sand in aid of Julia’s House and Lewis-Manning Hospice Care. Since launching in 2022, the tournament has raised over £40,000 and has become a much-loved fixture on the Bournemouth beach calendar.

On Friday afternoon, the qualifying rounds will be played out, with teams battling for the last available spots in the main draw.

Main draw action gets underway on Saturday at 9am, with group stages in both the men’s and women’s competitions running throughout the day until early evening. On Sunday, the drama builds with quarter-finals and semi-finals, leading into the women’s final at 3pm, followed by the men’s final immediately after.

The men’s draw will be headlined by the England international stars Javier and Joaquin Bello, the No.1 seeds and currently ranked 12th in the world. Silver medalists from Weymouth, Harry Jones and Dalton Bunde, are seeded third and will be looking to go one better in Bournemouth. Also teaming up are top UK juniors Lewis Bunton and Luca Robinson.

The women’s competition looks equally stacked. Top seeds Lynne Beattie and Mhairi Wallace, the Scottish duo who consistently deliver results at Grand Slams. Right behind them are No.2 seeds and defending Bournemouth champions Maria Sviridova and Yulia Tokarenko, who also picked up a podium finish with third place in Weymouth earlier this season. Last year’s Bournemouth runners-up Gerda Berštautaitė and Lorena Tussis also return as serious contenders for the trophy.

With free entry and right next to the Bournemouth Pier, this year's Bournemouth Grand Slam promises a thrilling weekend of top-level beach volleyball in one of the sport’s most iconic UK locations, showcasing the very best of British beach volleyball.
