UKBT and Volleyball England Announce Exciting New Opportunity for England-Based Beach Volleyball Clubs

In a thrilling development for the beach volleyball community, UKBT and Volleyball England are proud to announce that the CEV has officially endorsed the upcoming UKBT Club Championships as the qualifier for all England-based clubs aiming for the 2024 CEV Beach Volley European Cup. This significant announcement brings new excitement to the UKBT Club Championships, with the deadline for entries now extended to midnight on Sunday, 2nd June.

The top-ranked England-based club in the Championship division for both men's and women's categories will earn the right to represent England at the CEV Beach Volley European Cup, set to take place in September/October 2024 (location TBC). Clubs have the option to accept or decline this prestigious offer without any repercussions. If declined, the opportunity will pass to the next best-ranked club.

Importantly, clubs based outside of England are still welcome to compete in the UKBT Club Championships, with standard UKBT ranking points on offer. For more details on the CEV Beach Volley European Cup, visit CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2024.

Key Dates:

  • 2nd June (midnight): Extended deadline for UKBT Club Championships

  • 8th - 9th June: UKBT Club Championships at Sandbanks

  • 5th September: Club registration deadline for CEV Beach Volley European Cup

Attending clubs will need to handle a range of responsibilities. Financially, they are responsible for a €200 entry fee per club per gender, and a €50 CEV license fee per player, including handling travel and accommodation bookings and managing all the administrative responsibilities for the event.

Volleyball England will provide administrative support and serve as the intermediary between the club and the CEV. While their responsibilities are limited, they will endeavour to assist clubs as much as possible. For specific questions about the qualification process, contact us directly.
