Fireball will be hosting the first stop of the 2024 UKBT Open Series this Weekend.
As the sun begins to return to the UK, get ready for an exciting weekend at the Cardiff Open 2024, hosted by Fireball Beach Volleyball, sure to be a weekend of top-tier athleticism, vibrant beach culture, and unmissable action.
The Cardiff Open 2024 is the first event of the open series, with elite players from across the UK showcasing their skills, spectators can expect an incredible display of powerful spikes, unbelievable digs and high-level games all around. In addition, everyone can enjoy the energetic ambience and thrilling atmosphere only beach volleyball offers, with the event aiming to create an inclusive and enjoyable experience, with something for everyone to enjoy.
The tournament is set to deliver an exciting double elimination tournament, featuring 24 spots for each gender. On Sunday, the event will be accompanied by vibrant tunes from a live DJ, captured by a professional photographer, and with live streams of all centre-court matches. The tournament offers a prize pool of £400 per gender, with £250 for the champions, £100 for the runners-up, and £50 for third place. Additionally, a casual King & Queen of the Court tournament will be available on Sunday for eliminated teams, with a £20 entry fee per pair.
Local talent will also be shining bright, with familiar faces and new competitors ready to impress and inspire. The stage is set for an unforgettable celebration of beach volleyball excellence and community spirit. Adding to the excitement, the tournament will feature international-level players such as Kirsty Star and Harry Jones, alongside other top-level players and new rising stars, promising a thrilling display of skill and athleticism that will captivate all attendees.
