In addition to the exhilarating matches, the Cardiff Open 2023 will also feature various engaging activities and entertainment for spectators of all ages. Younger spectators will be offered the opportunity to be ball children for the finals on Sunday, while everyone can enjoy the in-house DJ and commentary and grab a beverage from the bar! The event will create an inclusive and enjoyable experience, with something for everyone to enjoy.
Sam Dunbavin continues:
"We are proud to partner with Cardiff Beach Volleyball to bring the Cardiff Open 2023 to life. This tournament should showcase the passion, talent, and dedication to the sport that all these athletes have in the fantastic local facility that a lot of people don’t know is there! I really hope that some of those that come along to watch are inspired to come along to try the sport out this summer-there are lots of opportunities for them to get involved here in Cardiff.”
Spectators will also be inspired by the wealth of local talent competing. Number 1 ranked Welsh male player Conor Robins is back from training abroad in Australia over the winter, playing with local coach Aleksandar Borisov. An exciting Welsh junior pair of Madog Hammond and Zak Maghur are competing too, and are hoping to transfer some of their form on the national junior circuit to the Cardiff Open stage. On the women’s side, Clare Skidmore will be bringing the fire for the Welsh talent!”
