We know that you guys are buzzing for the start of the UKBT season! Last weekend saw the first of many events take place, and in less than 3 weeks, the brand new UKBT Open Series will kick off with the Southern Open in Sandbanks!
With this being a new edition to the calendar, this article is your one-stop shop with all the information you need in order to compete!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Open Series is a new tournament category that succeeds the former 4-star events that have been contested in the past.
What makes the Opens different? The fact that there will be only one Open event per region across the UK throughout 2023! This means more quality, more prize money and above a higher level of volleyball!
Qualifying for the event is based entirely on a team's entry points, with the Opens themselves rewarding higher ranking points so that teams can qualify for the Grand Slam Series! It really promises to be an exciting series of tournaments!
